We’re Looking for a Night Cook Under the guidance of the Chef, this role is responsible for preparing high-quality meals quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires strong cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining food safety and presentation standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience in fast hot and cold environments.
  • Hold a current Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel
  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
  • Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
  • This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 2:00 pm to 12:00 am, weekends required.
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook hot menu items quickly and accurately according to recipes and specifications.
  • Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment efficiently.
  • Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and plated with consistency.
  • Work swiftly to keep up with high-demand service times.
  • Maintain proper station setup, ensuring all ingredients and tools are stocked.
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
  • Store food properly and check freshness to prevent waste.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely order completion.
  • Take direction from chefs and supervisors while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Adapt to changing demands and special requests from customers.
