The Night Auditor is responsible for checking figures, postings, and documents for accuracy, and for recording, storing, accessing, and analyzing computerized financial information. This role involves controlling and securing cash and cash equivalents according to cash handling policy and procedures, and organizing, securing, and maintaining all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies. Key duties include preparing, maintaining, and distributing statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables, as well as auditing and reconciling all revenue postings. The position also requires adherence to company safety and security policies, reporting accidents, maintaining professional appearance, protecting company assets, and ensuring guest privacy and security. The Night Auditor is expected to welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate their service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate professionally. Developing positive working relationships and supporting team goals are also part of the role, along with complying with quality assurance standards.
