About The Position

The Night Auditor is responsible for completing all nightly audit functions while delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel’s front desk. While performing audit duties, the Night Auditor also assists guests with check-ins and check-outs, processes reservations, and responds to guest inquiries, ensuring a high level of service throughout the overnight shift. Proactive thinking, keeping guest security always in mind, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.

Responsibilities

Completing all nightly audit functions
Delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel’s front desk
Assisting guests with check-ins and check-outs
Processing reservations
Responding to guest inquiries
Ensuring a high level of service throughout the overnight shift
Keeping guest security always in mind
Creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment
Counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift
Checking the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests
Processing guest registrations, including collecting payment
Preparing express checkout folios
Maintaining room status inventory
Communicating all pertinent shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff
Maintaining and cleaning the lobby and bathroom as needed
Communicating all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition
Working closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service
Answering inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
Explaining in-room and hotel features
Completing all required shift paperwork, and night audit reports daily
Performing other duties as assigned by management
