Requirements

  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred.
  • Previous hotel front desk experience required minimum of two years.
  • One year accounting experience with one year of Night Audit experience.
  • Fluency in job related English, both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Provide legible communication and directions.
  • Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply,divide numbers).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry and reporting.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and guest relations highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform night audit duties including reviewing and balancing daily financial transactions.
  • Prepare and distribute reports to management and other departments.
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs during the overnight shift.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and resolving any issues or complaints.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and transactions.
  • Operate phone systems and handle incoming calls professionally.
  • Provide exceptional guest service in a positive and clear speaking voice, listen attentively to understand requests.
  • Verify and swipe credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods.
  • Handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank.
  • Post charges to guest rooms and/or house accounts as needed.
  • Retrieve messages, mail, and packages for guests as requested.
  • Research and perform revenue audit function.
  • Upon completion of audit, input information into general ledger system.
  • File paid invoices in night audit packs.
  • Research and respond to charge inquiries on a timely basis.
  • Send copies of guest folios on a timely basis.
  • File registration cards in suite number order.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.
