Job Summary: The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the overnight operations of the hotel, balancing the day’s financial transactions, and ensuring that all guest services are provided efficiently during the night shift. This role involves performing front desk duties, reconciling accounts, and ensuring a safe and quiet environment for guests. Key Responsibilities Nightly Accounting and Reporting Reconcile and balance daily financial transactions, including room charges, food and beverage sales, and other hotel services. Prepare and distribute daily reports, such as the daily revenue report, occupancy report, and other financial summaries for management review. Ensure that all transactions are accurately posted in the hotel’s property management system (PMS). Conduct nightly audits of guest accounts, checking for discrepancies and resolving any issues. Front Desk Operations Perform check-in and check-out procedures for late arrivals and early departures, ensuring all guest information is accurately recorded. Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and requests during the overnight shift, providing courteous and professional service. Monitor and respond to guest needs, ensuring a quiet and restful environment throughout the night. Manage the front desk area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Security and Safety Conduct regular security checks of the hotel premises, ensuring that all doors are locked, and the property is secure. Respond to any security or emergency situations, following hotel protocols and notifying the appropriate authorities if necessary. Ensure that all safety procedures are followed, including fire safety and emergency evacuation plans. Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the management team immediately. Guest Service and Relations Provide exceptional service to all guests, handling any issues or complaints that arise during the night shift. Assist with any special requests or accommodation, ensuring that guests have a comfortable and pleasant stay. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Ensure that all guest concerns are documented and communicated to the morning shift for follow-up if necessary. Administrative Duties Prepare end-of-day procedures and ensure that all financial data is accurately processed and recorded. Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing invoices, processing payments, and updating guest records. Review and process any wake-up calls, late check-outs, or special requests for the following day. Support other hotel departments as needed during the night shift, ensuring seamless operations. Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the property and comply with Brand standards.
