The Night Auditor is responsible for completing end-of-day activities, including posting charges, running night audit backup, and rolling the date. This role involves processing various payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit, as well as handling adjustment, paid-out, correction, and miscellaneous vouchers. Key duties include printing contingency lists, selling rooms to walk-in guests, operating the telephone switchboard for wake-up calls and messages, and completing the Room Rate Variance Report. The Night Auditor also manages guest check-ins, room assignments, and key activation/reissue. Financial responsibilities include counting and securing the bank at the end of the shift and balancing receipts according to Accounting specifications. The position requires setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas, ensuring cleanliness and presentation. Additionally, the Night Auditor is expected to report accidents and unsafe conditions, adhere to company policies, maintain a professional appearance, protect proprietary information and company assets, and provide excellent guest service by welcoming, acknowledging, and assisting guests, including those with disabilities. The role also involves clear communication, positive team collaboration, and compliance with quality assurance standards. Physical demands include moving objects up to 25 pounds, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, and standing or walking for extended periods.
