About The Position

Sheraton Metairie is looking for a full-time Night Auditor, who would report to the Front Office Manager. The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions, reviewing, organizing, and compiling management reports on a timely basis and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions. He/she is also responsible for effectively communicating concerns and/or related issues to all levels of management and performing guest service agent duties as required, including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation and reservations.

Responsibilities

Approaching all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, service-oriented manner and maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Greeting and welcoming all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with hotel standards.
Answering guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation in a timely manner.
Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming when working.
The ability to follow all cash handling and credit policies.
Obtain all necessary information when taking room and handling check-ins and checkouts in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.
The ability to comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
Ensure accuracy of all numbers reported including statistics.
Input and update financial information into corporate communications network.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual data processing system functions as required.
Keep management abreast of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures.
