About The Position

The Night Auditor is responsible for attending to the needs of guests, balancing the revenue and expense transactions that occurred during the day, and performing all the functions of the front desk staff during the audit shift. The Night Auditor will possess good communications and guest service skills and have the ability to take appropriate action to meet and exceed guest expectations. This position is with Shaner Hotels, an award-winning hospitality owner-operator and management company with a portfolio of over 65 properties across 14 states and four countries. The specific location is the Sleep Inn in Port Charlotte, FL, a three-story hotel offering 78 rooms, complimentary hot breakfasts, a business center, an outdoor pool, and special event space.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year customer service experience.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
• Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Attend to the needs of guests.
• Balance the revenue and expense transactions that occurred during the day.
• Perform all the functions of the front desk staff during the audit shift.
