About The Position

Essential Purpose: To be responsible for greeting guests in an efficient and courteous manner. As the first face that many see upon arrival, the Hotel Front Desk Agent checks guests in and out of their rooms, distributes room keys, answers questions and processes payments for hotel services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • English fluency required.
  • Must have minimum one year experience in hotel audit systems, general accounting, or clerical auditing or controlling.
  • Must know ten key by touch, and have strong math and analytical skills.
  • Basic typing ability required.
  • Must be able to display knowledge of one or more computer systems.
  • Must display knowledge of currently accepted business phone etiquette.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Organized and efficient.

Responsibilities

  • To follow all specified procedures to maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, including running preliminary reconciliations, detail transactions, and final reports to accounting and profit centers.
  • To follow all specified procedures to reconcile reports with the restaurant & golf system each night, researching and posting any unresolved tickets from the day shifts.
  • To follow all specified procedures to audit the shift closing of all front office staff, including personally closing shift three, and completing an audit summary for each shift.
  • To follow all specified procedures to send shift reports of overnight happenings.
  • To produce accurate and timely month-end reports, including Guest Ledger reports, Geographic Analyses, and Travel Agent reports.
  • To produce Preliminary Flash reports, on a daily basis.
  • To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • To provide to all inquirers, accurate information regarding hotel facilities, services, and programs.
  • To follow all policies and procedures of the Front Desk and accounting department and Temecula Creek Inn.
  • To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
  • To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
  • To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.
  • To comply with company and departmental safety rules and regulations, including the proper handling of all relevant equipment.
  • To attend all mandatory meetings, as directed.
  • To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
