About The Position

The Night Auditor Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of hotel front desk activities during overnight hours. This position is responsible for overseeing the night audit process, which includes reconciling daily financial transactions, preparing accurate reports, and maintaining the integrity of guest accounts. The supervisor leads and supports the night audit team, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational compliance are consistently met. They act as the primary point of contact for any issues that arise during the night shift, coordinating with other departments to resolve problems promptly. Ultimately, the Night Auditor Supervisor ensures that all overnight operations contribute to the overall financial accuracy and guest satisfaction of the hotel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel night audit or front desk operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of hotel property management systems (PMS) and night audit procedures.
  • Proficiency in basic accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with specific hotel management software such as Opera, Maestro, or similar systems.
  • Certification in hospitality management or accounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols relevant to overnight hotel operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the night audit team to ensure efficient and accurate completion of all tasks.
  • Perform and oversee the night audit process, including balancing and reconciling daily financial transactions and generating detailed reports.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive guest experience during overnight hours.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to communicate any operational issues or maintenance needs identified during the night shift.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate night audit staff to maintain high performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
