We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Guest Service Agent to join our team at Best Western in Springfield, MO. This role serves as the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The Guest Service Agent will also fill in for the Night Auditor overnight shift as needed, managing guest check-ins and check-outs, running reports, and addressing inquiries to enhance the guest experience.

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Manage the front desk operations, including check-in and check-out processes.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries or directing calls as necessary.
  • Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities to enhance the guest experience.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring resolutions are achieved.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions using hotel management software.
  • Assist with night audit duties as required, ensuring all financial transactions are balanced at the end of the day.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for guests.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization at the front desk area.
  • Strong background in guest services or customer service within the hospitality industry.
  • Experience in front desk operations or hotel management is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest relations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with phone systems and hotel management software is advantageous.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse guests.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Auditor experience is a plus but not necessary.
  • 1 year of hotel experience preferred.
