About The Position
The Night Auditor at Residence Inn Secaucus Meadowlands is responsible for overseeing the hotel operations during the overnight shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, specifically covering the full-time auditor's days off on Monday and Tuesday. This role may also require additional coverage during other times, such as vacation periods or as a backup for overnight shifts. The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during the night hours, providing excellent customer service and maintaining the overall appearance of the lobby. Key duties include answering phones and routing calls, verifying and balancing hotel room availability, performing check-in and check-out duties, processing credit card and other financial transactions, and inputting basic data into daily reports while processing invoices. The Night Auditor is also responsible for reconciling errors whenever possible and referring unresolved issues to management. Additionally, maintaining the coffee station for early risers and ensuring the lobby is presentable are essential tasks for this position.
