NIGHT AUDITOR SUPERVISOR Essential Duties: Lead a team of 2 Night Auditors Audit, balance, and report on the various areas of the hotel (e.g., food and beverage, rooms, front desk, gift shop, etc.) to provide accurate and timely financial information on the hotel’s operational performance for the day. Oversee front office/front desk operations during the overnight shift. You may be required to cover the hotel alone, or with a partner. Understand and adhere to proper credit card and cash handling policies and procedures. Prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel’s financial performance for the day. Post room charges and room taxes to guest accounts. Properly secure guest information. Able to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures and implement while on duty, as needed. Able to use repetitive hand and body motions such as grasping, writing, typing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity. Able to use a computer for long periods of time or duration of shift. Perform other tasks as needed. Other requirements of the role: Check front office accounting records for accuracy and compile information for the hotel’s financial records. Track room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics. Verify all account postings and balances. Summarize results of operations and prepare reports for management. Skilled in the operation of front office equipment and computers. Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette. Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events. Ability to communicate with public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner. Handle all front desk operations, with or without assistance. Be the overnight point person for guest assistance, safety and communication. Perform other duties as assigned.
