Night Audit - Holiday Inn Riverwalk - San Antonio, TX (Full-time)

About the position

At IHG, we are looking for a Night Auditor to join our friendly and professional team at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. This role is essential in ensuring that all hotel income and expenses are accurately balanced for the 24-hour operating period. The Night Auditor will be responsible for auditing room revenue, food and beverage revenue, and telephone revenue, as well as preparing relevant daily revenue reports. This position requires effective communication with other hotel departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide necessary information. The Night Auditor will also perform Guest Service Representative functions, assist in booking room reservations, and act as the hotel system liaison during night hours. Additionally, the role involves completing and transmitting daily management and accounting reports, preparing customer tracking reports, and handling credit card batches.

Responsibilities

• Accurately balance all hotel income and expenses for the 24-hour hotel operating period.
• Balance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue, and telephone revenue; assist in preparing daily revenue reports.
• Balance and audit all room and tax charges, cashier's reports, and guest and house accounts for accuracy.
• Communicate with other hotel departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and provide information as needed.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
• Perform Guest Service Representative functions as required, including booking room reservations and answering hotel phone calls.
• Act as hotel system liaison during night hours, opening tickets with Opera, Protobase, or System Support for system issues.
• Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents.
• Prepare customer tracking report, market segmentation report, food and beverage revenue report, and other necessary auditing reports.
• Transmit credit card batches.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent plus some customer service experience; some college preferred.
• Fluent in English; other languages preferred.
• Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to move about public areas and communicate with others.
• Ability to handle objects, products, and computer equipment.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Familiarity with hotel management systems such as Opera or Protobase.
