About The Position

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for verifying the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Manage cross docking, receiving, storage, shipping, and maintenance activities to ensure all truck loading and unloading operations follow established policies and procedures. Manage flow of product to minimize the handling. Provide input on labor needs based on work flow and direction from management.

Requirements

2+ years of warehouse management experience
3+ years of warehouse experience
Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks
The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce.
Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Assist warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations.
Sync Handhelds/Tablets.
Assign drivers and helpers to their routes.
Ensure that customer orders are accurate and picked and shipped in a timely fashion.
Verify truck inventory matches load sheet and handled/tablet.
Maintain accurate inventory count, perform end of day reports and submit to management.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness to avoid contamination of products entering and leaving the facility; follow Food Safety guidelines.
Manage programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property.
Report all work related injuries of personnel immediately.
Provide immediate medical attention to injured employees as necessary
Put inventory away in pre-determined locations to ensure the space layout plan continues to meet company standards.
Immediately report all inventory discrepancies.
Deploy truck drivers.
Log all received product.
Collaborate with Sales to ensure that new products reach the right markets at the optimal time.
Other duties may be required as requested by Management.
