Night & Weekend Team Leader – Chariot Logistics Location: Nashville, TN Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Chariot Logistics is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated Night & Weekend Team Leader to join our expanding team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in keeping freight moving efficiently while maintaining excellent customer communication. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent freight brokerage experience).
- Experience in freight brokerage or logistics operations required.
- Proven ability to lead a team and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Business Suite.
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with the drive to contribute to Chariot’s success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the night and weekend logistics operations team.
- Cover available freight and ensure loads are booked efficiently and profitably.
- Bid on available loads and negotiate rates with carriers.
- Track and trace freight to ensure on-time delivery and proactive communication.
- Update customers with real-time shipment status and issue resolutions.
- Maintain accuracy within the Transportation Management System (TMS) by updating all relevant load and carrier information.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless handoffs between weekday and weekend shifts.
