Understands and satisfies the supply and equipment needs of the neonatal, infant, toddler, pre-school, school-age, adolescent and/or adult patient. Meets and greets families, with respect for diversity and individual circumstances. Assists RN with patient transport. Provides services and covers bedside/pod restock, as assigned. Checks expiration dates of products located on par level locations of patient care areas. Cleans patient care equipment as directed by department policy. Maintains par level of equipment. Restocks equipment as needed. Works independently with Material services staff to change par levels of stock as necessary. Works in collaboration with the nursing and other staff to introduce new products into the NICU. Requirements High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) Requires the level of technical knowledge normally acquired through completion of high school Required BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required Requires analytical skills in order to identify problems, troubleshoot and find the most efficient solutions to problems. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care team The ability to represent the organization and serve consumers in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the organization and its services. Possess willingness and initiative to successfully complete educational requirements and develop and learn new skills as required by the unit. Requirements

  • High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED)
