About The Position

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant with
our NICU.

The NICU Physician Assistant (PA) manages a caseload of neonatal patients with
consultation, collaboration, and medical supervision of a Neonatologist. The
NICU PA provides advanced clinical care to critically ill and premature newborns
in the NICU.  Working collaboratively with neonatologists, neonatal nurse
practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare
professionals, the PA is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and
ongoing management of neonatal patients and support of their families.  In
addition, the NICU Physician Assistant performs clinical procedures,
demonstrates competence in clinical skills, leadership, communication, teaching
and research.

Requirements

• Master's degree - Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
• Current NCCPA certification required.
• WV PA license required.
• AHA BLS required
• NRP required.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and work in an interdisciplinary setting
• Demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately and effectively
• Computer skills, especially word processor and excel spread sheets
• Good verbal communication skills

• Position-related experience preferred.
