About The Position

Lead a high-acuity Neonatal ICU (Level IV) on the evening shift, driving quality, safety, and family-centered care while mentoring a skilled interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • BSN
  • Current Texas or Compact RN license (obtain Texas license within 60 days if Compact)
  • 2+ years recent acute-care NICU leadership (manager or charge)
  • BLS

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree
  • NRP, neonatal specialty certification (RNC-NIC)
  • Experience in Level III/IV NICU and change management

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily NICU operations, staffing, assignments, and throughput
  • Coach bedside teams; lead huddles, rounding, and performance feedback
  • Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice
  • Ensure regulatory readiness (policies, competencies, documentation)
  • Partner with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and ancillary services
  • Manage scheduling, productivity, supplies, and resource utilization
  • Support parent education, experience initiatives, and escalation pathways
