The University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is seeking a NICU Nurse Practitioner at 50% - 100% FTE. SIGN-ON BONUS OF $20,000 for qualified candidates. (Must be hired at 75% FTE or greater; Internal candidates are not eligible for sign-on bonus.) This position will provide overall medical care and provide medical management for patients, exercising autonomy in medical decision-making and services provided. This role will function independently and/or as a member of an interdisciplinary team to plan, deliver, and evaluate health care for the inpatient NICU population. Extensive focus is caring for hospitalized patients to manage care and length of stay, improve resource utilization and decrease costs to patients and the institution while providing personalized care on 24/7 basis. About Neonatology UI Stead Family Children's Hospital is home to Iowa's only Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The nationally recognized Division of Neonatology within the Stead Family Department of Pediatrics is committed to providing innovative, comprehensive, high-quality care from our team of physicians, advanced registered nurse practitioners, RNs and others that results in the best outcomes for children cared for in the NICU. Each year, approximately 900 babies receive a range of neonatal services in the NICU, which is annually ranked among the top NICUs in the country and has grown to 88 beds with the opening of UI Stead Family Children's Hospital.
