This includes cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces, performing unit and supply stocking, assisting with room turnover, supporting infection control practices, and responding to environmental needs as defined by departmental guidelines. The role ensures compliance with safety standards and contributes to a positive patient experience through collaboration with clinical and support teams. Cleaning and disinfecting countertops, keyboards, computers, cables, and other frequently touched surfaces in and outside of patient rooms. Following established infection control protocols and safety standards. Collaborating with clinical and environmental services teams to maintain a safe and hygienic patient care environment. Performing unit stocking responsibilities as assigned to ensure supplies are readily available for patient care.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required
  • Willingness and the initiative to successfully complete educational requirements while developing and learning new skills as required by the unit.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care team.
  • Basic assessment and analytical skills in order to perform basic patient observations.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council within 90 Days required
