About The Position

The Beverage Sales Representative is responsible for the sales and distribution of a diverse wine portfolio in restaurants and independent retail accounts throughout New Hampshire. This role requires a strong work ethic, independence, and a passion for the beverage industry, focusing on increasing sales and maintaining positive relationships with key accounts.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of on-premise trade, sales, and strategic marketing in the beverage industry.
  • Knowledge of wine and composing restaurant wine selections.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated business math skills.
  • Time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to quality and teamwork.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including late nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and present effective sales strategies to customers.
  • Communicate new items, product information, and competitive market insights to generate customer dialogue.
  • Plan and present proposals for house pours, menu placements, promotions, and special events.
  • Manage samples responsibly within company guidelines and legal parameters.
  • Review non-buy account lists regularly to secure new business.
  • Dominate the on-premise market regarding house pours and product placements.
  • Monitor vintage dates and labels, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Adhere to account call frequency to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional relationships with key account owners and buying personnel.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize assistance from NH State Wine Manager and other personnel as necessary.
  • Complete and submit all administrative paperwork on or before deadlines.
  • Review permanent POS and product placements regularly for freshness.
  • Utilize Marketing Department resources for wine lists and printed materials.
  • Write credits for damaged items or shipment errors as per guidelines.
  • Maintain professional responsibility for the condition of sales areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
