The Composites Technician is an integral part of an operational team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of its two key processes. Technicians are primarily dedicated to either the Spunbond or Film line. The scope of job includes all steps in production from raw material through to finished product. Technicians are responsible for monitoring product quality and the routine maintenance of the production lines. Technicians advance via participation in the Technician Progression Program (TPP), demonstrated ability, time in grade, participation in the Composites Representative System (CRS) and participation in 'aplus.' The TPP incorporates five levels; advancement requires active participation in and continued development of the program. Composites Technicians are expected to advance to a minimum of Technician II in a reasonable amount of time and encouraged to achieve Technician IV. Representative positions in the CRS include Production, Maintenance, Safety & Environmental, Administration, Quality and Training. The team of Composites Technicians report to the respective Spunbond or Film line Operations Manager via a designated Team Leader.
