About The Position

Goldbelt Glacier is committed to providing transformative and comprehensive health operational capabilities to support customers across scientific, clinical, technological, and program management areas. The Prevention Coordinator will support the National Guard Bureau (NG), J1 Warrior Resiliency & Fitness (WRF) Substance Abuse Program (SAP), Suicide Prevention Program (SPP).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field plus a minimum of four years of practical experience in Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention, or Resilience, and program and case management, or 10 years of practical experience.
  • Demonstrated instructing and briefing skills, with the ability to adapt to various audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and metric development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule as duties require, including many weekends when state units are conducting training.
  • Ability to pass a background check and eligible to obtain a Contractor Common Access Card (CAC).

Nice To Haves

  • Managerial and/or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in substance abuse and suicide prevention programs.
  • Previous experience working with the National Guard or similar organizations.
  • Advanced certifications or training in related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information briefing (Quarterly) on State and National level Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention.
  • Input SAP and SP training and applicable information into the Drug and Alcohol Management Information System (DAMIS) and ALURRT within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Electronically report all scheduled SAP and SP training within 48 hours of training completion.
  • Input all assessment/referral and treatment data of Service Members into DAMIS within 24 hours of appointment.
  • Update referral and treatment data for Service Members as required per their treatment plan/schedule.
  • Coordinate and conduct SAP Training and SP Training for Service members, families and ARNG units that meet or exceed the requirements in AR 600-85 and AR 350-53.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
