About The Position

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking an experienced NG9-1-1 Business Process Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large-scale Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG911) implementation initiative. This role provides strategic and hands-on expertise across NG911 business processes, with a strong focus on Call Handling System (CHS) integration , system implementation, and testing. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in public safety telephony systems , business process methodology, and cross-agency collaboration in high-availability, mission-critical environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience at a senior level as an audio/telephony systems SME
  • Extensive experience with: Public Safety systems Quality Assurance Systems Design, Development, Integration, and Testing
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations, standards, and operational challenges within public safety environments
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical and process concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-improvement mindset

  • Experience supporting NG9-1-1 or 9-1-1 modernization initiatives
  • Demonstrated commitment to staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on all aspects of NG9-1-1 , with emphasis on Call Handling System integration
  • Support business process methodology for system implementation, validation, and testing
  • Assist in the development of use cases, workflows, and call flows for all NG9-1-1 call types
  • Support definition, validation, and compliance of NG9-1-1 call handling requirements and standards
  • Collaborate with technical and operational stakeholders throughout design, integration, and testing phases
  • Analyze existing processes, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements
  • Ensure alignment between business processes, operational needs, and technical system capabilities
