About The Position

The Girls Flag Football Assistant Coach will assist in coaching the girls' flag football team, ensuring that all coaching responsibilities are met in accordance with state laws and school policies. This position requires completion of specific coaching courses and certifications to ensure the safety and well-being of the athletes.

Requirements

• Completion of the NFHS 'Fundamentals of Coaching' course.
• Completion of the 'First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches' course.
• Completion of the 'NFHS Heat Illness Prevention' course when applicable.
• Completion of the NFHS COVID-19 Course.

Responsibilities

• Complete the NFHS 'Fundamentals of Coaching' course prior to assuming the position.
• Complete the 'First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches' course prior to assuming the position.
• Maintain a copy of the concussion certificate on file every year.
• Maintain a copy of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificate on file every year.
• Complete the 'NFHS Heat Illness Prevention' course when applicable, and keep a copy on file every year.
• Complete the NFHS COVID-19 Course.
• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices and games.
