About The Position

Based in Los Angeles, the NExT Summer Intern – VFX Production will aid and support the SDFX Studios Production team, while gaining exposure into the VFX pipeline, processes, and industry standards. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in visual effects, including 2D-3D conversion, and/or the entertainment industry.

Requirements

• Demonstrable interests in visual effects, film and/or other visual media.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) with comfort interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changes.

Nice To Haves

• Previous knowledge of Shotgrid, Frame IO, RV, Filemaker, and Microsoft Office apps

Responsibilities

• Supporting the VFX Production team across the areas of scheduling, review session preparation, notetaking, and delivery
• Shadow VFX team members and gain exposure to the VFX pipeline and creative processes
• Assist with daily administrative tasks and special project as needed
• Explore various career paths through interactive workshops and a guest speaker series.
• Engage in professional development to set career goals and build workplace skills.
