The Next Generation Program Officer at the Julian Grace Foundation is a full-time role focused on coordinating and supporting the Foundation's Next Generation Programs (NGP). This position is dedicated to engaging youth in leadership development, grantmaking, and advocacy, with the goal of fostering socio-economic mobility and community healing. The officer will work closely with youth boards, alumni, and grantee partners to advance the Foundation's mission and create impactful opportunities for young leaders.

  • Collaborate with the program team to manage youth boards and alumni, facilitate meetings, and support the grantmaking process.
  • Participate in the proposal review process for the Next Generation Programs, including site visits, evaluations, and preparing recommendations to the board.
  • Support initiatives designed to enhance the capacity of grantee partners, such as workshops, board trips, and partner events.
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of data related to NGP grantee partners and create customized reports to support decision-making.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in nonprofit management, youth development, and organizational growth, sharing insights with the NGP team.
  • Help develop and maintain communications related to NGP, including website content and printed materials.
  • Collaboratively manage the Foundation's intern program, including developing the hiring and selection process for interns.
  • Assist in maintaining the Foundation's grants management system, including revising and updating application and reporting tools.
  • Attend external events, professional development opportunities, and represent the Foundation as needed.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in nonprofit program management, capacity building, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in managing youth-focused programs or initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis, and experience with Google Suite and Internet research.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, manage complex tasks, and produce high-quality reports.
  • Proactive and collaborative attitude with a desire to support grantee partners and youth.
  • Teaching experience strongly preferred.
