About The Position

The purpose of Next Gen Ministry is to equip and activate the next generation to love God with all their hearts, souls, minds, and strength and to love their neighbor as themselves by engaging every family and elevating community. The purpose of the Keller Next Gen Intern is to serve as a leader and champion of the Next Gen purpose, vision, and strategy in kids and student ministry at the Keller campus. This position reports to and is accountable to: Keller Kids Minister Classification: Ministerial/Exemption

Responsibilities
- Commit to personal spiritual development through Bible study, prayer, and mentorship with NextGen leaders.
- Engage in weekly spiritual development meetings with Keller campus staff and department teams.
- Identify growth areas and actively pursue personal development.
- Support children and students in developing a Christ-centered worldview and resilient faith.
- Build relationships with ministry supervisors, team members, volunteer leaders, and parents.
- Mentor younger students and provide guidance to peers.
- Partner with families to nurture faith development in children and students.
- Lead and participate in outreach and service opportunities that inspire living out faith in meaningful ways.
- Elevate the community through small group interactions, leadership training, and hands-on ministry experiences.
- Support Sunday morning NextGen ministry: KidStory large group, check-in stations, and one-on-one connection with kids and students.
- Support Wednesday night gatherings (The Gathering): organize student volunteers and experiences.
- Assist in planning and executing KiDS and student events.
- Attend and support Kids Camp.
