NEXCOM Business Process Analyst Journeyman Location: Chantilly, VA Peraton is looking for Business Process Analyst Journeymen who will be regionally assigned to support the TS Group and will be responsible for studying, mapping, and optimizing organizational scheduling processes. This role serves as a critical bridge between operational staff and management, ensuring scheduling workflows support efficient project execution and resource utilization. The analyst will leverage data analysis, scheduling tools, and process improvement techniques to enhance scheduling efficiency, improve resource allocation, reduce operational bottlenecks, and streamline workflow coordination across teams.

Requirements

  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a public trust
  • Experience analyzing and improving business or operational processes, particularly related to project scheduling or resource management.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking.
  • Experience working with ERP systems or similar enterprise resource planning tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into process improvements and scheduling solutions.
  • Experience developing reports and maintaining documentation for operational metrics and KPIs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively between operational teams and management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large-scale technical programs or government programs.
  • Familiarity with scheduling coordination across multiple teams or regions.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, document, and evaluate existing scheduling processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize organizational scheduling workflows that support operational and project execution requirements.
  • Collaborate with operational staff, project teams, and leadership to align scheduling practices with program goals and resource availability.
  • Utilize scheduling tools and project management software to monitor project timelines, resource assignments, and workload distribution.
  • Analyze project and scheduling data to improve resource allocation and reduce scheduling conflicts or delays.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, scheduling standards, and workflow diagrams.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling efficiency, resource utilization, and project timelines.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and support program objectives.
  • Support management with reporting, data analysis, and decision-making tools related to project scheduling and operational performance.
