About The Position

As a Specialty Sales Associate you will be the face of our company. Through your specialty knowledge you will be directly responsible for assisting customers and helping them recognize the need for our products and services. Must be capable of learning about what we sell and are able to articulate our purpose in a manner that is educational, insightful, and professional. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Retail or relevant work experience required.
  • 6 months of product specific experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.
  • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.
  • Ability to understand and problem solve customer needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from a full 4 year or senior high school, or possession of a GED may be substituted for the experience requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage and make a connection with customers.
  • Ask questions and listen to customer's needs.
  • Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about upcoming events, promotions, and mobile offers.
  • Provide premier customer service.
  • Cooperate and build positive, inclusive, and respectful relationships.
  • Use specific knowledge to demonstrate product features and provide comparisons with similar products.
  • Take upper and lower body measurements for clothing or military uniforms to ensure proper fit.
  • Maintain store appearance.
  • Cross-sell products and know the layout of the store.
  • Make suggestions to customers on latest trends and current promotions.
  • Upsell products.
  • Learn product features and keep up with the latest trends.
  • Use a Point-of-Sales system for processing transactions.
  • Complete various forms of paperwork, reports, and reconciliation.
  • Handle special order merchandise requests.
  • Complete all inventory processes and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
  • Adhere to assigned work schedule and follow through on work assignments.
