The Washington Post is seeking students for its 2025 summer internship program, aimed at college juniors, seniors, and graduate students currently enrolled in a degree program. The application deadline is set for noon Eastern time on Friday, October 4, 2024. Interns will have the opportunity to work in various roles within the newsroom, including reporters, visual journalists, copy editors, news and digital designers, graphics reporters and developers, audio producers, data reporters, and audience strategy editors. Each role has specific requirements and responsibilities. For instance, reporters are expected to demonstrate clear and concise writing, with a focus on enterprise reporting and online writing. Visual journalists must be proficient in photography and video editing software, while copy editors need to have a strong grasp of style and grammar. The internship will take place in the Washington newsroom, where interns will join a diverse team dedicated to delivering high-quality, trustworthy news and information.
