About The Position

KLTV is looking for an experienced newscast producer for its Emmy Award winning morning newscast. Good Morning East Texas is a high-octane, 2.5-hour newscast that operates with four producers, an editor, and five on-air staff members.

Nice To Haves

• Journalism degree or similar (preferred)
• 1-2 years of experience is a plus for this position

Responsibilities

• Writing
• Co-Producing hour-long newscasts on weekday mornings
• Position works an overnight shift
• Editing video for newscasts
• Posting stories online
• Computer Skills
• Producer works in the control room booth during live newscasts, monitoring time, live shots, etc.
• Occasionally required to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as necessary.
