About The Position

Telemundo Nashville, operated within WSMV 4, is seeking a bilingual newscast producer who can connect with Middle Tennessee’s growing Spanish-language community and deliver impactful, platform-optimized content. Dynamic producers with a passion for breaking and hard news. The ideal candidates will have a sense of urgency, creativity, and resourcefulness.

Requirements

• Previous experience producing television newscasts or news content, preferably in a Spanish-language newsroom
• Strong news judgment, excellent writing skills, and an understanding of issues relevant to Middle Tennessee's Spanish-language community
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage breaking news situations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and manage several tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of newsroom systems, production workflows, and digital platforms
• Fluency in English and Spanish, written and spoken, and an understanding of differences in how Spanish is spoken in Mexico and the rest of Latin America.

Responsibilities

• Craft a compelling, daily newscast with high production value and a sense of urgency
• Co-ordinate on-air news coverage with anchor, reporters, managers, and other news staff
• Gather accurate information through various sources
• Contribute to Telemundo Nashville's multi-media efforts
• Interact with viewers and users on social media sites
