The position involves managing the day-to-day technical and engineering requirements associated with assigned network productions within NY studios and control rooms. The candidate will monitor live shot activity related to show assignments, including live guest transmissions, and will be responsible for identifying and alerting production personnel to issues, measures underway to resolve them, and progress updates. Additionally, the role includes programming control room monitor feeds and communication assignments to facilitate production needs and operational workflows. The candidate will support the studio and control room environments while overseeing transmission workflows, establishing a proactive presence to ensure smooth technical operations. Responsibilities also include authoring an end of shift "Production Technical Report" (PTR) that outlines assignment details, technical irregularities, actions taken, and recommendations for follow-up. The candidate will work with Production & Guest Booking personnel to prepare live shot transmissions for air and studio appearances, and collaborate closely with the Engineering group to identify technical needs related to all NewsNation control room and studio facilities. Other duties may be required as necessary.
