About The Position

Iowa's News Now (KGAN) is seeking motivated and enthusiastic college students to join our newsroom team as a News Intern. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the broadcast industry. Interns will gain hands-on experience working alongside our award-winning professional journalists in a dynamic and fast-paced newsroom environment.

Requirements

• Must be attending an accredited college or university
• Studying mass communications, journalism, or a related major
• Each intern is required to work 10-20 hours a week, including some weekends
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must receive academic credit for the internship experience
• Must be registered for college during the quarter or semester in which the internship is performed
• Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Work alongside professional journalists in the newsroom
• Gain hands-on experience in the broadcast industry
• Assist with various newsroom tasks as assigned
