KPLC-TV in Lake Charles seeks a motivated and dynamic Anchor/MMJ to join our news team. A successful candidate must be a proven leader who is motivated and passionate about storytelling. An ideal candidate must be an effective communicator who excels in reporting. The ability to cultivate sources and produce enterprise stories is a must. Applicant must have a love for local news, a passion for creative storytelling, and a positive attitude. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, generating story ideas, setting up interviews, shooting/editing stories, and anchoring on both linear and streaming platforms. The role also requires maintaining professional social media accounts, assisting producers in showcasing stories, and producing content for our streaming channel.
