The Newborn Nursing Manager will be responsible for the clinical and financial outcomes of designated clinical unit/units. Acts as a representative of the Director of Nursing and Administration. Collaborates with Director of Nursing and CNC in ensuring competent, cost effective patient care. You will manage unit/units operations, personnel activities, coordinate inter and intra departmental activities, assist with staffing as needed, develop a professional climate within the nursing unit, and act as a change agent through role modeling.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of clinical experience in newborn care with demonstrated management progression
  • At least 2 years of CNC required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • RN licensed by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners - Required Upon Hire
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS/ALS certification
  • NPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Manage unit/units operations

  • Assist with staffing the unit as needed when census/acuity dictates the need for assistance
