About The Position

The Newborn Hearing Technician position at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola involves performing computerized hearing screenings on newborns. The technician will receive test requests, conduct routine infant hearing screenings, and prepare and place sensors and earphones. Responsibilities also include maintaining patient records and logs, completing chart reviews to identify high-risk indicators for hearing impairment, checking instrumentation for malfunctions, and maintaining equipment. The technician will follow guidelines for patient identification and result labeling, and will interact appropriately with infants while handling issues concerning infant availability and physical conditions.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Preferred Credential(s): BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities
