About The Position

As a Per Diem HR Representative, you will conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, typically in the new mother's room. Your role will involve educating parents about the importance of these screenings using provided video and printed materials. You will also be responsible for entering patient data and validating hearing screens as needed. Additional tasks may include confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, addressing equipment issues, and training new staff. You will need to follow protocols for billing, security, and infection control, and complete necessary orientation and training.

Requirements

• Experience working with infants preferred
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift)
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently

Nice To Haves

• One to three months related experience in healthcare

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens
• Verify insurance information with parent/guardian
• Document hearing screen results accurately
• Follow protocol for timely submission of billing
• Follow protocol related to security and identification of infants
• Follow infection control, safety awareness, and other hospital, company, and program policies
• Recognize potential problems and obtain assistance in a timely manner
• Complete company and hospital orientation or classes, including patient privacy training
• Complete and maintain employee health requirements
• Other duties as assigned
