About The Position

A lovely family in Westchester County, NY is seeking an experienced, professional, and flexible newborn care specialist for a 3 month contract, starting end of May/first week of June. The schedule will be 20/7 for 3 months with an option to extend to 4 months. Their priority will be implementing a schedule/routine for the baby and eventually sleep training.

Requirements

The right candidate will have a positive and warm demeanor, glowing references, and plenty of experience
Flexible and easy going personality
Team player willing to work with other staff in the home
Experience sleep training infants using evidence based techniques
Legal to work in the US
Able to commit to minimum 3 month contract
Up to date on Tdap vaccine, ideally Flu and Covid vaccines as well but not required

Responsibilities

Care and engagement of the baby including but not limited to sleep, feeding, and routine management.
Light housekeeping related to the baby, which will include keeping baby's spaces organized, clean, and tidy and sanitizing any toys or feeding items including bottles, pump parts, etc.
Communicating with the parents about milestones, activities, temperament, and needs and collaborating with them on care.
Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care while respecting the family’s personal preferences
Encourage healthy sleep habits and follow safe sleep guidelines
