About The Position

The Regional Pool Manager team is a national team of 22 that collectively manages over 1,400 dairies spanning 25 states. The Regional Pool Manager holds the critical role of advancing the Cooperative's mission and strategic direction through augmenting the member-owner experience, providing superior customer service, and managing risks by ensuring compliance with all dairy pool's policies and standards. Furthermore, this position is responsible for finding and securing the future milk supply to foster growth and profitability of the co-op and its member-owners. This is a safety sensitive role.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years of experience within agriculture or related industry required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science, Agriculture, or commensurate experience is required.
  • Experience in developing, managing, and maintaining a large volume of farmers/customer base.
  • Practical dairy & livestock experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of organic production systems and organic certification standards.
  • Knowledge of milking equipment function and design.
  • Experience with on-farm milk quality troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work in teams and independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Foster member-owner engagement, communication, and loyalty by conducting annual farm visits for each member-owner within assigned region.
  • Safeguard the business and integrity of the brand by ensuring member-owner compliance with CROPP Cooperative's policies and standards.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to member-owners on enhancing farm management practices.
  • Promote continuous education and foster a community of knowledge sharing among farmers.
  • Plan, execute and facilitate high stakes farmer meetings with CROPP Cooperative executives.
  • Act as a conduit for stewarding the business's messages and updates to the region.
  • Manage risk by ensuring member-owner paperwork compliance and adherence to legal obligations.
  • Perform comprehensive on-farm audits, including animal care and farm conditions.
  • Lead cross-departmental collaboration with CROPP Cooperative's milk quality staff.
  • Oversee and analyze milk supply production levels within region.
  • Effectively communicate field intelligence to the business.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of prospective farmers and provide recommendations.
  • Participate at field days, workshops, conferences and similar events.
  • Maintain a prominent, professional presence that exemplifies the Cooperative's values.
