About The Position

BSE Global's (Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, Long Island Nets and Barclays Center) Summer Internship Program is an excellent learning environment for college seniors, grad students, and recent grads seeking hands-on experience within the sports and entertainment industry. The New York Liberty are looking for several Interns to join us for the Summer. The Summer Internship is a part-time, paid program that begins May 6 to October 15, 2025. Start and end dates can be flexible depending on your academic calendar. Our Internship program is located at our Industry City Corporate Headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Summer Interns are expected to work about 35-40 hours per week in office. Each intern will be assigned to a specific department or department or rotation cycle for the duration of the program.

Requirements

  • Prior completion of an Undergraduate and/or Graduate Degree, with a focus in Communications, Sports Business, or Sports Journalism is preferred.
  • Strong time management, organization, attention to detail, and communication skills are required.
  • Proficient knowledge of basketball statistics and ability to write clearly and succinctly.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Zoom, Dropbox, and social media channels.
  • Ability to work late nights, early mornings, and on holidays as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in sports information, media relations, and/or communications is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of AP format preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of sports media outlets/landscape is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Liberty's Social Responsibility department by creating, implementing and amplifying team driven programming.
  • Support community-related activations in collaboration with the partnership marketing team.
  • Manage and track team and player community-related efforts for the New York Liberty.
  • Cultivate relationships with community organizations and stakeholders that align with New York Liberty social responsibility pillars.
  • Support and track inventory for community giveaways and donation requests.
  • Support community ticket allocations and distributions where appropriate.
  • Research best practices across teams and players as well as across the sport and social impact industry.
  • Draft communications for Social Responsibility events and initiatives, including media advisories, press releases and recaps.
  • Support event preparation and execution hospitality fulfillment in Business Operations.
  • Assist with gameday activations, promotions, content shoots, and special projects in Marketing.
  • Oversee and manage existing Liberty sponsor accounts in Partnership Marketing.
  • Aid in the ideation and execution of marketing strategies and sponsor events.
  • Research new opportunities to grow corporate partners.
  • Provide accurate game notes updates and assist with media availabilities in Public Relations.
  • Maintain and research statistics prior to, during, and after each game.
  • Travel with the team to select away games and WNBA events may be required.
