About The Position

Clackamas Community College Federal Work Study provides part-time jobs for current students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses for the 2024-2025 academic year. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student's course of study. Students may work up to 19.5 hours per week while classes are in session and receive a monthly paycheck (based on an hourly wage) that they can use for educational expenses. Requirements

  • Enrolled in at least 6 credits at CCC (enrollment requirement waived in summer term)
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a designated representative of the Clackamas CC student services areas
  • Partner with Clackamas CC service staff to support students with getting registered and prepared to start classes
  • Greet students and provide assistance to students as needed
  • Help identify and clarify student needs and provide resource information and connections
  • Answer questions in-person, respond to and send emails, and make and answer phone calls to students in support of getting registered and prepared for classes
  • Support students in understanding basic steps to getting started at the college and help create a welcoming and inclusive space for all students to ask questions and make connections
  • Connect students with service areas and schedule appointments for students with Navigators, Admissions, Advising, Tutoring, etc.
  • Help students with account log-ins and accessing their accounts including MyClackamas, self-service, Moodle, and Navigate
  • Assist students with registering for classes in the online system
  • Be familiar with and refer students to the different student services and resources housed in the Wacheno Welcome Center
  • Understand FERPA rules and regulations and maintain student confidentiality, following all data integrity rules
  • Maintain space in a clean and orderly manner
