About The Position

This position is part of a 3-person Care Team where you will have the opportunity to work alongside a Virtual RN and another bedside caregiver, giving you more time and help to focus on meeting the needs of each patient. The Inpatient Unit at Mount Carmel Dublin is a 30-bed, state of the art, patient care area designed to provide the ultimate patient experience. Thirty beds are dedicated to the Med/Surg and Observation of care. The patient rooms have been created to promote a holistic healing environment. We encourage family participation throughout the stay. There is the ability to utilize tele-health to enhance care needs. Multidisciplinary Rounds (MDRs) will occur on a daily basis to ensure that all patient needs are addressed and met. Ultimately, we want to ensure our patients are discharged home in a timely manner, to allow an expedient return to their normal daily routine. Training will take place at Mount Carmel St. Ann's located at 500 S Cleveland Ave, Westerville, OH 43081. Mount Carmel Dublin opened April of 2025.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care, including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team.
• Basic computer skills required; prior experience using an EMR for charting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence-based practice.
• Assist provider with patient assessment, examinations and treatments.
• Perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of a provider, including set up of procedures.
• Administer medications under the direction of the provider, according to the organization's standards, policies, procedures, and/or guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under the direction of the provider.
• Thoroughly educate and explain procedures to patients and family members (diagnosis, disease process etc.).
• Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures and/or guidelines.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed care givers as appropriate.
