About The Position

Add value to business growth activities by managing product development efforts with current and new customers. This role requires strong technical and customer interface, particularly in thin extruded films, adhesives, topcoats, printing/converting, coating/lamination technologies, to ensure successful implementation of new products and processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing relationships with key clients.
  • Proven experience in product development, technical service, or other relevant role.
  • Technical understanding of thin extruded films (PE, PP, PET, specialty films), adhesive chemistries (PSA, solvent, emulsion, UV), topcoats, printing/converting, and coating/lamination processes.
  • In-depth understanding of business products and services.
  • Assist in performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis of film, adhesive, or coating defects.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Minimum BA/BSc in Business, Technical, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from the label, printing, packaging, or film/coating industry, with desired expertise in extrusion, adhesives, topcoats, and coating/lamination technologies.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to access the production floor meeting all safety and security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met, especially in areas involving film structures, adhesive systems, and coating/lamination performance.
  • Act to manage incoming requirements of new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing).
  • Support and collaborate with all business teams (finance, sales, R&D, etc.) to develop cost analysis for new products.
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers of films, resins, adhesives, and coating materials.
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for stakeholders.
  • Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring.
  • Business travel as required. Estimated 30% travel.
