About The Position

The New Product Development Intern will work with the Product Development team on a variety of specific projects and areas. This position will report directly to the VP of NPD, but will have exposure to the wider business teams. Interns will complete a capstone type project over the summer culminating in a presentation to business leadership.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related field
• Rising junior or senior
• Strong interest in applying field knowledge to practical problems
• Ability to comply with deadlines
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Interest in technology and process improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• No previous experience required

Responsibilities

• [Mechanical] Prototype testing – from developing test plan to execution, reporting findings and recommendations
• [Software/Electrical] – technologies supporting data logging methods, quantifying product utilization (product testing, use case validation…etc.)
• [Mechanical or Electrical] - SmartPWR AMR assistance and involvement
