PennEngineering is seeking motivated, excited, and innovative students for our 2026 Summer Internship Program. Requirements

• Working towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Some experience with solid modeling, drafting, and FEA software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience delivering presentations to small or large groups.

Responsibilities

• Modeling, drafting, and drawing of fasteners, fixtures, installation or testing equipment.
• Perform teardowns of target application and/or competitive product, including full disassembly, documentation through pictures and text, review of the technologies through discussions with engineers, and creating a formal report.
• Perform destructive and non-destructive testing, installation, and measurements.
• Work with sales and marketing to evaluate an idea or concept for possible market acceptance, communicate product function and documentation for sale and use.
• Coordinate with manufacturing personnel to facilitate sample, trial, and final production product.
• Purchase and assemble test fixtures, samples, and other assemblies.
• Actively participate in brainstorming and problem-solving.
• Undertake research to support the learning of new processes, products, and technologies. Document and share with global team.
