Key Responsibilities As a co-op in Shoulder Reconstruction R&D, you will be supporting and working alongside a multi-functional development team (Quality/Manufacturing/R&D/Marketing) supporting the design, conceptualization and market introduction of shoulder reconstruction implants and the associated instruments and technologies. You will work with a senior level engineer(s) supporting various product development activities that may include implant and instrument design, test fixture design, performing product testing and writing testing reports, creating and leading design control documentation, etc. You will also have a chance to work with surgeons in a cadaveric setting assessing device performance and acquiring surgeon feedback. The incumbent will be encouraged to lead portions of the projects driving product development and value creation initiatives that contribute to continued success of the DePuy Synthes Portfolio. You will also be assigned a mentor to provide support throughout the program. The position offers a unique opportunity to work independently and experience the end to end process of product development. Qualifications Self-motivated with an interest in orthopedic medical devices and digital surgery techniques. Enrolled in an accredited college, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomechanical, or Biomedical, etc.) 3-D modeling skills (NX Unigraphics & Solidworks Preferred) Experience using hand tools and performing mechanical testing Proven problem-solving capabilities Ability to communicate technical information Previous co-op completed in R&D, manufacturing or equivalent at a medical device company demonstrating the abilities listed above is preferred (not required) A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 Must be available to work full-time (40 hrs/week) during the Co-Op semester: January – June 2026. This position is located in Raynham, MA. You must be able to provide your own transportation since this location is not within walking distance from the train station. Required Skills: Preferred Skills: The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $23.00/hr to $51.50/hr Additional Description for Pay Transparency: The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience.
