About The Position

IDEX Corporation is seeking talented individuals to join GAST Manufacturing, a leader in the design and manufacturing of quality air-moving products. The role involves new product development, where engineers will work on product definition, validation, and launch into production. The position requires collaboration with product management and sales teams to ensure that products meet specifications and are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from an ABET accredited university in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years, preferred 4+ years of hands-on product design and development experience.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience in pneumatic/fluid pump technologies.
• Experience in manufacturing technologies such as sand casting, die casting, or injection molding.
• Familiarity with MS Suite, SolidWorks, and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Establish Detailed Product Requirements based on product definition and input from sales and product management.
• Engage in Concept/Prototype Design with support from a CAD designer, including material and component selection, pneumatic and electrical design.
• Oversee Prototype Assembly and Testing, including machining and procurement of materials, assembly, troubleshooting, and validation testing.
• Collect, Process and Present Technical Data to communicate progress, performance, budget, and costs to stakeholders.
• Create a Robust Manufacturing/Assembly Process utilizing pilot builds and tooling engineering.
